26,000-SF, 3-story steel framed secure structure with a metal panel skin. The ground floor has a 36’ tall high bay clean room, gown rooms, and P-clean rooms. The second floor has offices and two conference rooms as well as house the main mechanical and electrical rooms. The penthouse level holds the mechanical systems. Site work included demolition of existing buildings and regrading, relocation of the existing road next to the building along with relocation of utilities. The building is used for research, testing, development and support of space craft.

The 66,735-SF expansion on the Germantown campus will enable the company to consolidate several key manufacturing operations and accommodate an expected 90 new jobs. Among QIAGEN products to be manufactured within the expanded facility will be the company’s flagship product: the digene HPV Test platform, a screening test that identifies women with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infections that can cause cervical cancer. HPV testing enables diagnosis and treatment to be put in place before cervical cancer can develop. The project achieved LEED® Silver certification.

We are currently constructing a new academic building for programs in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, forensic science, anatomy, chemistry, human performance (athletic training and kinesiology), game design, VR and animation. The facility will include wet labs, including a BSL-2 lab; cadaver and anatomy labs; dry labs; human performance labs; a fabrication lab; and space for audio production, VR and motion capture.
